About
Jessi Barber (she/her) is a queer production manager, technical director, lighting designer and stage manager with over a decade of professional arts experience in the Bay Area/Ohlone Land.
She is the co-founder and current co-producer of Shawl-Anderson Dance Center’s Queering Dance Festival (QDF), and was formerly Producing Lead/Interim Venue Manager at the Joe Goode Annex and Shawl-Anderson’s Production Manager.
Her freelance work has included serving as the Technical Director for the Fresh Meat Festival, Jess Curtis/Gravity and Melissa Lewis Wong; Lighting Designer for the CounterPulse ARC Edge Residency, Town Hall Theater, and San Mateo High School Dance Concert; and Stage Manager with Detour Productions, Fog Beast, and University of San Francisco Performing Arts & Social Justice Department.
Jessi currently serves on the board of Bridge Live Arts and is a proud member of CounterPulse Workers United.
